Pepperberry Restaurant at Hara House
2 Ashwood Avenue, Bright
Pepperberry Restaurant is the in-house restaurant for the recently renovated and renamed Hara House. Head Chef Emma Holberry offers a five star retro menu featuring oustanding local produce and native ingredients, complimented by premium local wines. Signature dishes include kangaroo tartare and deconstructed california roll using the best quality ingredients from local suppliers including Harrietville Trout Farm, Kiewa Valley Meats and the Peaks Cheese in Bright. 15 Wills Street, Bright
15 Willis Street in Bright is home to Reed & Co. Distillery and Sixpence Coffee. The former mechanics workshop has been transformed into a locals favourite. With Sixpence serving locally roasted coffee and the tastiest locally baked pastries in the morning, through to the afternoon and evening when Reed and Co. Distillery take over the space. Offering gin tastings and their restaurant Koji Bird. Dine inside or on the tables outside under the leafy oak trees.
This summer Reed and Co. Distillery have opened their new tasting room, Spirit Lab. After opening up a second distillery dedicated to shochu-based spirits, they have freed up room at the back of the distillery, beautifully refurbishing the space with a tasting room, bar and shop. Open from 10 am on weekdays and 12 pm on weekends, you can taste their many gins, shochus and koji based spirits. Fire themed Japanese styled Izakaya, Koji Bird, is barbequing, smoking, fermenting and picking extremely tasty dishes by ex-hatted chefs and owners Hamish Nugent and Rachel Reed. 11 White Star Road, Wandiligong
A relatively new restaurant, (to me anyway), and bar in the heritage listed town of Wandiligong where the old maze used to be. Enjoy fresh and tasty share plates and cocktails in the lush shady gardens. Find your own little space under the many umbrella’s and tables scattered throughout the garden, inside or on the deck. Or perhaps a private function in the rotunda. Offering lunch from an a la carte menu, grazing boards and share platters. check out the menu here. A short ride from Bright, there is plenty of room to park your bike out the front. Open Thursday to Monday 11-5. Kitchen 12-5.
15 Camp Street, Bright

A favourite for locals and visitors alike. Check out their menu here. Currently open Wed & Thurs 5pm till late. Friday to Sunday 12 till late.
5 Camp Street, Bright
Hometown pizza bar and restaurant, just up the road from Tomahaws. With the same owners, you know it’s going to be good. Offering a variety of different pizzas and sides taking inspiration from great pizza makers across the globe. It’s all about the dough, cold fermented for a minimum of 48 hours, hand stretched, wood fired and charred. Tuesday to Saturday 5pm till late. Enjoy a pizza and cocktail outside in the beer garden.
