Loins

From the owners of Sir Loins in Bright, sister venu Loins is open this winter at Mt Hotham. Located in what was formally Last Run Bar at Lawlers apartments, behind the medical centre at the end of the corral day car park.  Serving up amazing steaks and sides that Sir Loins is famous for.  Open 7 nights.  See menu here  book a table here

The Drop

Open from 8am – 2pm

The Drop by day, Loins by night. Open daily 8 am – 2 pm for coffee, toasties, muffins, sausage rolls, spinach and ricotta triangles, banana bread, pumpkin cake and more.  Don’t forget to order your freshly baked Gutsy Sourdough bread, delivered weekly.  Located in what was the Last Run bar at the end of the day car park

Zirky’s
1 Great Alpine Rd, Mount Hotham
Open daily from 8 am

Zirky’s cafe is open this winter for coffee and pastries from Harrietville Bakery.  Toasties and sandwiches.  Daily from 8 am.

Steph Graham is back for her second winter as Head Chef at Zirky’s.  Former head chef at Donovan’s, she started her own business this past summer, Chefanies, cooking convenient meals for families in South East Melbourne.  Bringing back a lot of favourites from last year, hearty winter meals like ragus and braises.  More of an intimate dining experience with table service in the Bistro this year, and a separte lunch and dinner menu with rotating daily specials with seasonal ingredients. Re-creating a cozy, unpretentious, Japanese Izakaya in the heart of Dinner Plain.  Warm up with Ramen & Curry Rice, paired with some great Japanese sakes, beers and spirts as well as all your favourite Japanese appetisers and snacks.  Bringing a little piece of Japan to Dinner Plain.

Open daily 4pm – 11pm

Serving food from 5.30 and apple pie moonshine distilled on site. Burgers and pizzas with local smoked meats from Tawonga South Butchery.

Dinner Plain Hotel

Open daily 12 pm – late

Good pub grub and good times.  Under new management.  DP Hotel caters for your casual diner, looking for a belly filling delicious post shred meal, and a couple cheeky beers in the late evening. Miss Mary’s located downstairs at Hotham Central is a busy intimate space offering walk-ins for lunch. Bookings recommended for dinner. Providing signature cocktails and Asian fusion share or not share eating that is a must try this season. Bringing people together in a shared space, providing intimate nooks. Chill Bar and Cafe

Open daily 7.30 am – 8 pm

Offering a range of breakfast options, ciabattas, focaccias, sandwiches, wraps, pies & sausage rolls, hot hearty soups, smoothies, meals and loads more. Eat in or grab and go. Plenty of sweet treats, and warming beverages.  Great coffee, herbal teas and hot chocolates.

Frankie
Big D Ski Centre, Hotham Heights
Open daily 8 am – 4 pm and night skiing hours.

Frankie’s burger bar and entertainery is open 7 days a week until the closure of Big D Ski lift.  With breakfast, lunch (and dinner when night skiing is on.) Have fun in the arcade room or book in for the silent disco designed for kids 17 and under.  Fully licensed.  Check out the menu here.
